Our current standard
We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA across core reading and search journeys. Pages support text enlargement, visible keyboard focus, reduced-motion preferences and touch targets sized for mobile use.
- The interactive map is paired with a navigable result list.
- Color is not the only way a filing type or state is identified.
- Page structure uses headings, landmarks and descriptive links.
- Forms expose labels, validation messages and submission status.
- Editorial type maintains readable line length and spacing.
Known limitations
Third-party map tiles and agency datasets can contain labels or geometry outside our direct control. MapLibre's canvas is not a substitute for the adjacent list, which carries the primary accessible interaction. We continue to test high-zoom, narrow-screen and keyboard-only use as the source directory grows.
